Urgent Notice: Potential Danger of Horse Hair
Thanks Letty for sending us this announcement

In a press release today, the National Institute of Health has announced the discovery of a potentially dangerous substance in the hair of horses. This substance, called “ammobacter equuii” has been linked with the following symptoms in females:
Reluctance to cook
Reluctance to wear make-up, good clothes or heels
Reluctance to spend money on home or car repairs until after “baby has new shoes, pad, blanket, tack, grain, hay & supplements”.

“Amobacter equuii” usually results in long hours away from home and exhaustion which may lead to a loss of physical contact with other humans (especially husbands).

“Amobacter equuii” is thought to be addictive, driving the need for additional sources - this may lead to a “herd mentality” or like the potato chip commercial, “you can’t have just one”. Beware! If you come in contact with a female human infected by this substance, be prepared to talk about horses for hours.

Surgeon General’s Warning: Horses are expensive, addictive, and may impair the ability to use common sense.

A special thanks to Felicity for forwarding this pic.
2010 has been an eventful year for WINNING COLOURS FARM to say the least! With the birth of our baby boy, Denham and the acquisition of four more rare coloured thoroughbreds; as well as plenty of infrastructure (thanks Grant!).

We are looking forward to 2011 and our coming foal crop which is sure to be exciting. After deciding to foal down only two mares in 2010 due to the demands of a newborn baby, we are pleased to say we should have around 10 foals for next season. Broodmares include three true black mares, three coloured mares and all are mares I would class as fabulous. I am truly elated with our two foals of this season and with bookings already in for the 2011 season it seems I am not alone. Buzz and Profile accomplished 100% of mares in foal confirming we are on the money with the latest equine management and reproduction techniques.

Framed In History is coming into his own and is a magnificent colt. Not only a spot on type, but having more modifying genes than most of the frame-overo Thoroughbreds in the entire World. We are very excited about his future….along with the future of WINNING COLOURS FARM. A big thank you to all of our great clients and friends that share in our vision of producing International thoroughbreds for the racetrack and show ring in spectacular coat colours.
Don’t be pushed by your problems.
Be led by your dreams.
