Life is about creating yourself.
Quote worthy of mention
Winning Colours Farm visits Colorworld Ranch, Arizona & attends “Scottsdale”.
We travelled three States, did four major cities, had a 3 day horse course and a wedding all in 7 days! America was a lot of fun to say the least. I thought pictures say it better than words so have shared a few with you below. Colorworld Ranch was fabulous as always and Profile’s sire Ellusive Quest is a magnificent Stallion. They are expecting six babies by Glacial Gold and the first is to drop any day.

As luck would have it rather than itinerary skills, the World famous Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show was on and just half hour distance from Colorworld. It was great to attend and I have never seen so much exquisite shopping at a horse show. For those of you who are a bit partial to an ‘F’ Truck they were everywhere and the latest and greatest. The style of riding I saw was their version of English and was rather strange to say the least. More like our hackneys and with hooves so incredibly long to get over flexion of the pastern which is to achieve a more extreme knee action and height I am told.

I wore my Australian cap incase there were any other Aussie’s in the crowd. A person to notice the hat was one of the Judges (or Stewards) from the centre of the arena and proceeded to come over to where I was sitting in the grandstand. Told me he loved the hat and went back to judging. I was suitably embarrassed and left the hat behind for the remainder of the trip!
The biggest issue yet….. The New Mares, WCF at Colorworld Ranch & That Wedding!

Peta completes Embryo Transfer course in USA
The main reason for going abroad was for me to complete my training in Embryo Transfer. The science aspect of Equine Reproduction is my subject of choice. I am now fully equipped to do this procedure which I intend to do on my Royal Show Champion Anglo Arabian mare next season to enable her to be put back into work without me having to miss out on a foal. I now am focusing my studies on microbiology and immunology. I wonder where that will take me? (probably to Vet School !)

What to do in Vegas?……...hmmm……..Let’s get married!

What do they say…”When in Rome do as the Romans do”. So we figured to translate “When in Las Vegas….. get Married!” The pictures below tell a thousand words and I haven’t laughed so much for a long time. Our Elvis was hilarious and we can thoroughly recommend The Hollywood Wedding Chappel (it’s so tacky it’s brilliant!). And for those of you who are curious - Yes, it was legitimate. I am now Mrs Peta McLaren :-)
Just For Fun - we hope you enjoy these pics

Now that’s a Coke! We couldn’t believe the size of these ‘regular’ coke-a-cola’s in a restaurant in Ramona, California.

New Roan Thoroughbred mares make WCF to be the most diverse colour genetic TB stud in the entire World!
Yes that’s right. With the acquisition of a Catch A Bird daughter and granddaughter, which is the only known roan TB line in the entire world, we now have the greatest variety of colour genes available in Thoroughbreds. With an order already in from Germany for a blue roan Thoroughbred (black based roan) it seems we are on the right track. We can

genetically design your next TB plus being a small, boutique establishment we do not have the large overheads of the bigger Thoroughbred Studs making our prices very competitive.
This coming breeding season we are introducing a rewards style program. This program is designed to give real benefits and large discounts ($1000.00+ minimum) to thank those of you that have supported WCF in the past. We do not inflate our service fees and then discount them giving a false reduction. These Rewards discounts are true savings. And for those of you wanting to use our Stallions for the first time we will also be announcing something for first time Clients. With 100% of mares in foal last season, and now with our Rewards program, there is no better time to join our team of Thoroughbred breeders and add into your breeding program. Stay tuned.
