Pretzel (USA) leaving Painted Desert Farm, USA
Issue 5, 5th November 2010
Staff Profiles: Peta Oxenbridge
Many of you know me Personally. For those of you who don’t I have been involved with horses all my life and have worked for racehorse trainers and high profile Racing and Pacing Studs. Previous to that I worked indoors(!) at WIN Television and Westpac Investments & Insurances in their Business Banking division.

Nickname: Horsehead!
In my spare time: What’s that.
Greatest achievements: Horsewise it is my Royal Show Champion with a horse I bred, broke in and trained myself. Other than that it is meeting the man of my dreams and our children. Favourite music: I enjoy all genres but must confess I am a closet Prodigy fan!

Peta (5 months pregnant!) and Champion mare Vapourise
Our BEAUTIFUL palomino Thoroughbred mare Pretzel (USA) has landed safely in Australia.

Once released from Quarantine at Eastern Creek she will then be quarantined at WINNING COLOURS FARM at our AQIS approved quarantine facilities until she foals April next year. She is in foal to the spectacularly coloured Mr Prospector line stallion Painting Freedom (USA).
More Details.

A special thanks to Quentin and staff at International Racehorse Transport for the expert care.

Snow Blizzard in the middle of Spring!
The greater danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it."

Quote worthy of mention
Pretzel (USA) has landed
What is the most enjoyable part of your job: Meandering through the paddocks and patting the mares just for the sake of it.
And lease enjoyable: a negative pregnancy test.
Describe yourself in 3 words: Poor time manager (where does the day go?!)
Favourite horse: It changes all the time - right now it is Framed In History - he is one laid back cool dude! Country I’d most like to visit: USA to see my sister.
To make the world a brighter place I would… Stamp out poverty and erase criminal behaviour (is that too deep for a newsletter??!!)

This is the second year in a row that we have served mares in a Blizzard! Rockley turned on the weather - as it did in most of the South East of Australia - on the 16th of October.

Thankfully our efforts were not in vain as Glacial Gold’s covering that day of our Royal Show Champion mare On The Map (aka Prada) was successful. We are pleased to add that Glacial Gold’s first three Thoroughbred mares were also preg tested, and all tested in foal.

Pictured Right is actually Glacial Gold in the Blizzard!
Congratulations Melbourne Cup Winner Americain
What a magnificent horse and a gallant effort. Once again a Hail To Reason sire line horse wins a prestigious Group 1. It would seem Hail To Reason sire line horses are as hot a Danehills. Americain is a third generation Hail To Reason sire line horse. Golden Slipper winners Sebring and Phelan Ready are both fourth generation Hail To Reason sire line horses. Another fourth generation Hail To Reason sire line horse that comes to mind is Profile In Style (USA). His 2010 true black son ‘Styled In Black’ has a 5 x 5 duplication of Hail To Reason. More details. Eight times Group winner More Joyous has a 4 x 4 duplication of Hail To Reason. Given time Profile’s babies will be on this prestigious list of Hail To Reason sire line winners :-)
